On 18th of April 2019, I came up with an idea, post attending the Program about the Farmers in Rural Karnataka of Dandeli.
As you are aware, Agriculture is the foundation of the global food process and the prime root for Mid Valley and VP groups business. As demand for food increases, the environmental and social challenges a farmer faces from poor soil quality, natural water scarcity, and poverty challenges their ability to grow the crops. The world business metrics based on the yield and quality of the process.
This study personally helped the Mid Valley team, the VP Group, its Partners, and the Farmers to engage and learn together, what works locally in the Karnataka Agriculture sector.
We began this in Chickmangaluru, Karnataka with just 3 farms, and Mid Valley and VP Groups demonstrated the Farm program.
To enhance this positive impact, we invited farmers to visit our farms and check the result of coffee, pepper, and other forms of products to compare Traditional farming with the best practice.
We were able to demonstrate this by accessing the local ideas that helped us to cultivate the best by the upgraded process.
The Karnataka farmers are vulnerable and struggling to meet their needs. They are highly exposed to many factors like climatic changes, exploitation of natural resources due to floods and tremendous contamination of toxic elements that pollute the Agricultural sector of Karnataka and leads to scarcity of crops.
In 2018, we started a small event on our farm that not only helped us lead front but also promote responsible Agricultural practices to boost the yield of crops and improve farmer’s livelihood.
We also respect human rights and protect the local environment and its natural resources.
Hence, in the upcoming year, 2022 Mid Valley / VP Groups have decided to launch the program called “DHARANIYA MATHU”
This campaign focuses on Farmers of Karnataka who have the experience to innovate and demonstrate their hard work every day with ease. Close collaboration with our farmers and mutual respect between us has been the heart of our success for the last five years. Only by listening to their voice, Karnataka is able to build an Agricultural sector to meet the requirement of the country and continue the best to deliver economic growth and social development.
The price of the land is increasing while the value of the farmers decreasing. If we go on commercializing the land, for other purposes how will we survive?
The farmers who once lived with courage and happiness are now living in fear and despair. He is scared to sow a crop not knowing if he would have enough water. If there is enough water, he is scared whether he would be able to reap the crop, if he reaps it, he is scared of how toprotect it, and finally, if he succeeds in protecting the crops, sells it at a throwaway price.
Hence, everyone who lives on the earth including me is responsible to safeguard the farmers. Therefore, we at Mid Valley decided to take up this responsibility

Farming isn't as easy as changing an attire, it's a beautiful relationship between man and the earth. And these farming science which even the scientists can’t understand, is understood by a farmer.
